Nicholas Galanin and Nancy Magoon in Conversation at the Parker Palm Springs
Join our board member and acclaimed contemporary artist Nicholas Galanin, whose work, Never Forget, was one of the most visited installations of Desert X 2021, for an evening at the Parker Palm Springs on Friday, October 16. The evening is hosted by prominent art collector and philanthropist Nancy Magoon in support of our upcoming tenth anniversary exhibition Desert X 2027.
The program will take place at the Parker estate starting at 7pm with a conversation between Nicholas Galanin and Nancy Magoon and will be followed by a live performance of Ya Tseen, an ever-evolving indie pop and electronic music project Galanin has developed alongside his artistic practice.
This event is ticketed and offers a VIP-ticket option that includes a seated intimate dinner at 8:30 pm at mister parker’s. The dinner is hosted by Nancy Magoon, Nicholas Galanin and Desert X leadership. Tickets are limited and proceeds support Desert X 2027.

6:30 PM – 7:00 PM | Guest Arrival: Doors open at the Amphitheater as guests begin to arrive and gather on the estate.
7:00 PM – 7:30 PM | In Conversation Artist Talk: Host Nancy Magoon and Nicholas Galanin will take the stage for an intimate conversation about Galanin’s artistic practice and experience working in the Coachella Valley.
7:45 PM – 8:15 PM | Live Music Performance: The Amphitheater transforms into a full live music venue as Ya Tseen performs, blending indigenous perspectives with contemporary soundscapes.
8:30 PM | VIP Option - Seated Dinner: Following the music, VIP ticket holders move to mister parker’s for an exclusive dining experience hosted by Nancy Magoon and Nicholas Galanin.
