A self-driving tour of Alison Saar, Jose Dávila, and Sanford Bigger’s installations at Desert X 2025. Arrive early for your morning coffee by Mentosa, coffee service will be available at Stop 1 from 8:00 – 10:00 AM.

STOP 1 – 9:30 AM: Alison Saar, Soul Service Station

Houston Poet Laureate, Aris Kian Brown will read from a selection of poems at the site of Alison Saar’s Soul Service Station, sharing works in conversation with Saar’s themes of spirituality, rest, and community-based healing.
STOP 2 – 10:30 AM: Jose Dávila, The act of being together
Worsley Road between Pierson Boulevard and Painted Hills Rd.
Desert Hot Springs
José Dávila and Executive Director Jenny Gil will be introducing the work at the site, starting promptly at 10:30 AM.
STOP 3 – 11:00 AM: Sanford Biggers, Unsui (Mirror)

Sanford Biggers and Co-Curator Kaitlin Garcia-Maestas will be introducing the work at the site, starting promptly at 11:00 AM.
