Join co-curators Neville Wakefield and Kaitlin Garcia-Maestas for an informal conversation with artist, architect, and activist Ronald Rael. Together, they’ll discuss Rael’s innovative approach to ancient building techniques and explore his vision for sustainable solutions at a time when the climate crisis, amplified by wildfires in Southern California, demands new approaches to art and architecture. As Desert X 2025 comes to a close, the group will reflect on their individual journeys—sharing some of the surprises, challenges, and lasting takeaways that will continue to shape their practices well beyond the exhibition.
